SDSUG Guest Contributor Guidelines and Submission Form

Guidelines and submission standards for guest contributors to SDSUG’s practitioner‑first publication.

Guest Contributor Guidelines and Submission Form

SDSUG welcomes contributions from vetted practitioners, researchers, and community members whose work strengthens Arizona’s cybersecurity ecosystem. Guest articles help expand the perspectives, expertise, and lived experience represented across our community.

This page outlines the expectations for guest contributors and provides the submission form for article consideration.

Who Can Contribute

SDSUG accepts guest submissions from:

  • Practitioners working in cybersecurity, risk, governance, or adjacent fields
  • Researchers, educators, and technical specialists
  • Community members with relevant professional experience
  • Leaders from partner organizations
  • Speakers or panelists contributing follow‑up content

SDSUG does not accept vendor sales pitches, promotional content, or AI‑generated articles without human authorship and review.

Editorial Standards

All submissions must:

  • Be original work created by the contributor
  • Provide value to practitioners, leaders, or the broader security community
  • Maintain a vendor‑neutral, platform‑agnostic tone
  • Align with SDSUG’s Code of Conduct and Membership Guidelines
  • Avoid confidential, proprietary, or sensitive information
  • Be technically accurate and fact‑checked
  • Use clear, professional language

SDSUG may edit submissions for clarity, length, formatting, or consistency with site standards.

Contributor Identity Requirements

To maintain consistency across SDSUG publications, all guest authors must provide:

  • Full name
  • Professional title and organization
  • Professional credentials (if applicable)
  • A short bio (2–4 sentences)
  • A preferred link (LinkedIn or website)
  • Optional headshot

This information is used to generate the standardized SDSUG author nameplate.

Article Requirements

Each submission must include:

  • Article title
  • 2–3 sentence summary
  • Full article text (pasted directly into the form)
  • Optional images with captions and usage rights
