The enforceable standards that define acceptable conduct and protect the safety and integrity of SDSUG’s community.
Code of Conduct
The SDSUG is dedicated to providing a respectful, inclusive, and professional environment for all participants.
All members, guests, speakers, sponsors, and partners are expected to:
- Engage in discussions constructively and professionally
- Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior
- Treat others with courtesy and respect
Harassment, intimidation, or inappropriate conduct — whether verbal, physical, or online — will not be tolerated.
Enforcement
SDSUG reserves the right to remove any individual from an event and to restrict or prohibit future attendance if their behavior violates the Code of Conduct or the Membership Guidelines, disrupts the event, or creates an unsafe or uncomfortable environment for others. Decisions are made to protect the community, not to punish individuals.
SDSUG reserves the right to take appropriate action, including removal from events or activities, to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
The Safety & Incident Response team operates under a defined governance structure and activates only if an incident requires coordinated response. For details on the break‑glass team responsible for maintaining a safe environment during rare incidents, visit the Safety & Incident Response page.
