References to third‑party organizations, individuals, products, services, or resources—whether presented on the SDSUG website, in event materials, or by speakers—are provided solely for informational purposes.

  • SDSUG does not endorse, certify, recommend, or guarantee any third‑party offering unless explicitly stated in writing.
  • Inclusion of a speaker, sponsor, vendor, employer, or resource does not imply endorsement or verification of claims.
  • Opinions expressed by speakers, presenters, contributors, or attendees are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of SDSUG, its leadership, or its partners.

SDSUG encourages participants to evaluate all information independently and exercise professional judgment.


2. Event Participation and Liability Disclaimer

Participation in SDSUG events—whether in person or virtual—is voluntary. By attending, participants acknowledge and accept the following:

Personal Responsibility

  • Attendees are responsible for their own conduct, decisions, and safety.
  • Attendees must comply with venue rules, applicable laws, and SDSUG policies, including the Code of Conduct and Membership Guidelines.

Third‑Party Actions

SDSUG is not liable for the actions, omissions, or representations of:

  • speakers or presenters
  • sponsors or vendors
  • venue operators
  • other attendees
  • third‑party service providers

Injury, Loss, or Damage

If you choose to participate, you do so at your own risk. SDSUG is not responsible for:

  • personal injury
  • illness
  • property loss
  • property damage
  • incidental or consequential damages

arising from participation in SDSUG events or activities.


3. Liability Waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants agree to release, waive, and hold harmless the Sonoran Desert Security User Group (SDSUG), its organizers, volunteers, officers, partners, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of or related to:

  • attendance at SDSUG events
  • reliance on information shared at SDSUG events or through SDSUG channels
  • interactions with third parties at or through SDSUG events

This waiver applies regardless of whether the claim arises from negligence (excluding gross negligence or willful misconduct), unforeseen circumstances, or third‑party actions.

Nothing in this waiver is intended to limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
