Partners in Resilience and Values
Cybersecurity Peer Groups are independent security and technology groups the Sonoran Desert Security User Group (SDSUG) collaborates with to support shared learning, professional growth, and community resilience.
Our Web Ring of Security for Arizona
SDSUG participates in a long‑standing, people‑driven web ring of trusted security, technology, and professional groups across Arizona. These relationships are built on reputation, shared standards, and mutual respect—not algorithms or commercial incentives.
Regional peer groups serve as stabilizing nodes in a global risk environment. Learn why practitioner communities matter on our Local Room, Global Impact page.
Check each organization’s website for updates, changes, and additional resources.

How We Select Cybersecurity Peer Groups
SDSUG collaborates only with organizations that align with our core principles of privacy, neutrality, practitioner‑first learning, and community resilience. Cybersecurity Peer Groups are not sponsors and do not receive promotional preference. Partnerships are based on shared values, not commercial relationships.
To be considered a Cybersecurity Peer Group, an organization must meet the following criteria:
1. Mission Alignment
The group must support education, professional development, or community safety within cybersecurity, technology, or adjacent fields.
2. Non‑Commercial Orientation
Cybersecurity Peer Groups must operate without requiring product promotion, sales activity, or vendor exclusivity. Vendor‑neutral groups are preferred.
3. Trust and Reputation
The organization must demonstrate a consistent history of ethical conduct, community contribution, and responsible information sharing.
4. Open Access or Clear Membership Standards
Events should be accessible to practitioners, students, or the public, or have transparent membership requirements (e.g., InfraGard).
5. Stability and Continuity
The group should have an established presence, recurring events, or a demonstrated commitment to ongoing community engagement.
6. Governance Compatibility
Partners must respect SDSUG’s privacy, neutrality, and non‑endorsement policies. Cross‑promotion must remain informational, not commercial.
7. Human‑Driven Collaboration
Partnerships are based on relationships between practitioners, not automated link exchanges or algorithmic networks.
SDSUG may add or remove Cybersecurity Peer Groups at any time to maintain alignment with these standards.
